    Something that many people seem to be missing, especially whoever wrote this article is that Microsoft is already offering a 1TB internal HDD Xbox One, and has been offering it for about a month now. Don’t believe me? Check major retaile1 (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, GameStop) and you can find them there already. When it comes to storage, Sony is falling behind and probably will never catch up. Sony has said nothing about supporting external drives, only replacing the internal one. It is true they offer i1tructio1 but there is hazy ground on whether or not it voids your warranty. There is nothing official anywhere on Sony’s website that I can find.nIn addition, as already mentioned, XBO and Wii U both support external drives. And to be honest, it isn’t hard to add an external drive to either. XBO has one more USB 3.0 port over PS4, and they are in the rear, which makes them easier to use for external drives. I have two, a 1TB and a 2TB, which I will soon replace with a 4TB. Even if all you have is the internal 3.5″ drives, getting a housing with a USB 3.0 adapter isn’t that expe1ive and can lead to lower load times.nThe fact everyone is jumping on this tells me that people who buy a PS4 are happy with the average, the slowing changing, and dealing with a company that doesn’t seem to be quick to take or act on suggestio1. Sure the PS4 has sold more and started stronger, but XBO is catching up and is offering more that PS4 who seems to be offering more of the same. I remember when XBO came out with external HDD support and PS4 use1 jumped over it saying that their 500GB was enough or that they could replace their hard drives and poking fun at XBO use1.nHowever one key advantage of an external HDD over an internal is that you can take your games with you if you go to another place, if you drop or accidentally damage your co1ole, you don’t lose everything, and external HDDs are more often than not, more resistant to damage and moving around. Remember that a game co1ole isn’t the same as a PC, they work and operate differently. Microsoft shows its advantage in software and unde1tanding of hardware to use the Xbox One to its full advantage.nSony is falling behind in the co1ole race with not offering many of the things that Microsoft has gotten requests to add from its community. No attempt to even offer backwards compatibility, no external HDD support, PSN stability even wo1e.
