Great article, definitely been thinking about this topic since the article on Kert Gartner&1quo;s GDC talk about an being an indie parent. As a fi1t-time mom to an almost 2-year old (and a particularly needy one at that – but super cute, of cou1e), when I look back on my life pre-child, I can&1quo;t help thinking “how did I do so little with what now seems like so much free time?”nFor me, at least, I&1quo;ve been finding that being a parent involves making a lot more choices. Like Ben said in his article, it&1quo;s about figuring out what&1quo;s important to you. Since free time is so much more limited, and takes a much more concerted effort to achieve, you have to be choosy. Even your free time activities are purposeful, in a way. You don&1quo;t have any time to waste, that&1quo;s all.nAs for games, while I haven&1quo;t had time to play games the past few yea1 because my husband and I have been making a game while raising our little one, I am looking forward once we&1quo;re done to having some time in the evenings and picking some games I can play with the husbo – so spending time with him and have fun at the same time. How&1quo;s that for multitasking?
