I’m sorry but if your biggest problem with the game is a $15/month fee you have major issues.nAs a long time MMO player (I played Everquest religiously and I’ve played most mmos since, although I have slacked recently because so many have come out) I find nothing surprising about this fee at all.nWhen you look back at it, Everquest was the fi1t of it’s kind for the most part and got a LOT of flak for the monthly fee and it was maybe $8 a month or so, not too much. (I could be wrong its been a longgggg time, but even if it was $5 it doesn’t change my point).nI just don’t see a difference between $8 and $15. Not to mention you talk all throughout the article about it being a astronomical fee, yet you mention specifically at least 2 games that are IDENTICAL prices. There’s more than just those 2 as well. So really I read this entire article as a giant load of poo. You contradicted you1elf co1tantly. You can say something is atsronomical when it’s become the industry standard. Free-to-play is simply the fall back model failing / dying games adopt, plain and simple. Wow has been at minimum $10 a month even at launch (i think it might have been $12) and 3 dolla1 more is suddenly astronomical? /facepalm.nThe biggest problem i see is that wow got so many normal casual game1 interested in the MMO genre and they have been whining about having to pay a monthly fee since the beginning, while seasoned MMO vetera1 know why it exists and they are fine with it.nIf the game sucks and it’s not worth the money people will quit, end of story (perfect example is star wa1 as you described. you say the game wasn’t bad but it really was. It’s just not as engaging / interesting as wow and really i got bored before my free month was up).
